BRAND LAUNCH 360
Tasked with the job of branding the new café and function centre in the Christchurch Botanic Gardens I developed the brand ilex and the brand story. The café and events centre is a place where people can indulge in nature and enjoy all it has to offer. This gave way to the brand positioning,
'From garden to plate, we appreciate.'
The geometric design of the iconography and logo allowed a modern contrast with the history of the gardens. It also complimented the modern architecture of the new centre, inspired by European greenhouses.
In our messaging I delivered small teasers of the wealth of sensory delights on offer, including imagery and information about the herbs, food, plants and knowledge, ready to be consumed in one place.
